| Rabbana
wa'atina ma wa'adtana 'ala rusulika wala tukhzina yawmal-qiyamati
innaka la tukhliful-mee'ada |
| Our
Rabb! and give us what You have promised us through Your rasuls,
and do not disgrace us on the day of Awakening. Surely You do not
break promise. (3:193) |

| This
supplication is part of a series of three supplications mentioned
in Surah Al-i-Imran. These supplications are made by those people
who remember Allah, whether they are sitting, standing or lying
(3:190). In verse 3:194, which follows these three supplications,
we see that Allah (swt) 'immediately responds' to these supplications,
and rewards the supplicators with entry to 'Gardens beneath which
flow the rivers'. Do we need any thing else when Allah assures that
He responds immediately to these supplications? |
