Supplication for offspring (4 of 9)
Rabbi 'innii wahanal-'azmu minnii washta-'alar-ra'-su shaybanwwa lam 'akum bi-du-'aaa-'ika Rabbi shaqiyyaa
Wa 'innii khiftul-mawaa liya minwwaraaa-'ii wa kaana timra-'atii 'aaqiran fahab lii milladunka waliyyaa
My Rabb! surely the bones in me are weakened, and the head flares with hoariness, and my Rabb! never I have been unsuccessful in my prayers to you. And surely I fear my relations after me, and my wife is barren, therefore grant me from Yourself a trustee. (19:4-5)

This supplication is mentioned in Surah Maryam. As a prelude to the history of Mar-yam and birth of 'Isa(pbh), the extraordinary incident with Prophet Zakariyya (pbh) is mentioned. Zakariyya (pbh) had made this supplication to grant him a child although he was an old man and his wife was barren. As a response to this supplication, Allah rewarded him with a child, Yahya.
