| My
Rabb! You have already given me of the kingdom and taught me the
interpretation of the narratives; Originator of the heavens and
the earth! You are my Protector in this world and the Hereafter.
Make me die as a Muslim, and join me with the righteous.
(12:101) |

| Prophet
Yusuf (pbh) made this supplication after he became the ruler of
Egypt, and he met with his parents. The parents prostrated to Allah
and Yusuf (pbh) realized his dream of eleven stars and the sun and
the moon making obeisance to Allah. Although
Yusuf (pbh) received the kingdom, the supplication also asks for
death as Muslim. How much would our earthly wealth, property mean
if we do not die as Muslims and most importantly, if we are not
with the righteous in the hereafter? |
